Verify Identity

Complete the Seev identity verification process for your business account — starter or full.

Seev offers two levels of identity verification depending on your business type and the transaction volumes you need. Both tiers are completed through the Seev Dashboard during onboarding.

Starter KYC

Starter verification is designed for new merchants who want to get up and running quickly. It requires minimal documentation and is reviewed within hours in most cases.

What you'll need

  • A valid government-issued ID (national ID card, passport, or driver's licence)
  • Your phone number (used for OTP verification)
  • Your business name and a brief description of what you sell or offer

Limitations

Starter accounts are subject to a monthly transaction cap. If your business grows beyond the cap, you will be prompted to upgrade to Full KYC before processing additional transactions. Payouts to external bank accounts may also be limited until you upgrade.

How to complete it

  1. Log in to the Seev Dashboard.
  2. Go to Settings → Verification.
  3. Select Starter and follow the on-screen prompts.
  4. Upload a clear photo or scan of your ID document.
  5. Complete the phone OTP step.
  6. Submit — you'll receive an email when your account is approved.

Full KYC

Full verification unlocks the complete Seev platform with no transaction caps and full payout access. It is required for all businesses that exceed the starter threshold or that operate in regulated industries.

What you'll need

For sole traders / individuals:

  • Government-issued photo ID (national ID, passport, or driver's licence)
  • Proof of address dated within the last 3 months (utility bill, bank statement, or official letter)
  • Phone number for OTP

For registered businesses:

  • Certificate of incorporation or business registration document
  • Photo ID of the primary director or beneficial owner
  • Proof of business address (utility bill, lease agreement, or official correspondence)
  • A brief description of your business activities and expected transaction volumes

All documents must be clear, unobstructed, and show the full page. Cropped or low-resolution uploads will be rejected and will delay the review.

How to complete it

  1. Log in to the Seev Dashboard.
  2. Go to Settings → Verification.
  3. Select Full Business Verification.
  4. Fill in your business details and upload the required documents.
  5. Submit — Seev's compliance team will review and respond within 1–2 business days.
  6. You will receive an email with the outcome. If additional information is needed, you'll be asked to resubmit specific documents.

After verification

Once your account is approved at either tier, you will:

  • Have access to your live API keys under Settings → API Keys
  • Be able to accept real payments from customers
  • See your account status change to verified in the Dashboard

If your account is rejected, the Dashboard will show the reason and which documents need to be corrected or resubmitted. Resubmission goes through the same review queue.

Do not share your live API keys before your account is verified. Requests made with live keys from an unverified account will be rejected by the API.

Upgrading from Starter to Full

You can upgrade at any time from Settings → Verification → Upgrade to Full. Your existing transaction history and API keys are preserved — there is no need to create a new account. Payments continue to process during the upgrade review period, subject to the starter transaction cap.
