Payment Methods

Understand the payment options shown on Seev checkout and what customers need to complete them.

The payment methods available to a customer depend on the checkout type, currency, country, organization eligibility, and current product availability. The hosted checkout page is the source of truth for methods available on a specific payment.

Currently available checkout method

Mobile money

For supported Ghana cedi checkouts, the customer can pay with an available mobile-money network shown on the checkout page.

Typical flow:

  1. The customer opens the payment link.
  2. They choose mobile money.
  3. They enter the mobile number registered with their network.
  4. They select the network.
  5. They continue and approve the prompt on their phone.
  6. Seev waits for the provider's final result and updates the payment status.

The customer should keep their phone nearby, unlocked, and connected to the network. They should not restart payment while the first attempt is pending.

Methods marked Coming soon

Card, direct bank-transfer checkout, and crypto checkout can appear in designs or previews as upcoming methods. Do not promise a customer one of these methods unless it is enabled and selectable on the live checkout page they opened.

Merchant checklist

  • Use the correct checkout currency.
  • Open the checkout before sharing it.
  • Tell the customer to use the number registered with their mobile-money network.
  • Wait for a final status before fulfilling or creating another request.
  • Use the payment reference when investigating an attempt.

Customer did not receive a prompt

Ask them to:

  1. Confirm the number and network.
  2. Check signal and account availability.
  3. Wait briefly in case the provider is delayed.
  4. Refresh the payment status before retrying.

If the attempt becomes failed, the customer can retry. If it remains pending, avoid creating multiple payment attempts until a final result is available.

Customer says they paid but Seev is pending

Do not fulfil based only on a phone screenshot. Refresh the Seev record and wait for a completed status. Compare the Seev payment reference with the source invoice, payment link, order, or API transaction.

Sandbox payments

Sandbox checkout does not move real money. It provides explicit success and declined actions so developers can test both outcomes. Never use sandbox results as proof of a live payment.
